If you intend to supply a file not specifically mentioned, please follow these guidelines:

Most packages allow the user to create a postscript or acrobat (PDF) file suitable for professional printing. If this function is not available then it is possible to trick the software into producing a postscript file. This is done by setting up a postscript driver on your PC.

1   How to set up print driver Linotronic 200 (postscript):

   a) Click 'Start' and select 'Settings';
   b) Choose 'Printers and Faxes' and click 'Add printer';
   c) Add Linotronic 200 to your list of print drivers from your Windows installation disc.

2    Ideally, any bitmap images within your file should be 300dpi (ie. 300 pixels per inch).

3    To ensure that your design doesn't have any important details cut off, or any information
      too close to the edge, it is always a good design tip to work within the finished
      print jobs size. This area is called a 'safety zone' and should be around 5mm wide.

4    If you require 'edge-to-edge' printing your design must extend further than the edges of the
      material (ie. the paper or card) - your design will then 'bleed' off the edge of the material.

5    Select 'print' and then driver Linotronic 200.

6    Tick the small box next to your printer's name. This will allow you to 'Print to file'.

7    Now attach the file to the form on the previous page. If your file exceeds 2mb then we
      recommend that you burn it to a CD/DVD and post it to us (click 'Submit Query' on the
      previous page for information).
